How We Grade

Last updated February 27, 2026

Every clinic in our directory receives two scores: a Niche Grade (A through F) and a Composite Score (0 to 100). Both are calculated algorithmically using publicly available data. No clinic can pay for a higher grade or preferred placement.

Niche Grade (A–F)

The Niche Grade evaluates how well a clinic serves TRT patients specifically. It's built from six dimensions, each weighted to reflect what matters most when choosing a provider.

TRT Relevance

25 pts

How focused is the clinic on testosterone replacement therapy? Dedicated TRT and hormone clinics score highest. General practices that offer TRT as a secondary service receive lower scores.

Website Quality

15 pts

Does the clinic have an active, informative website? We evaluate whether the site is live, loads properly, and contains substantive content about their TRT services.

Description Quality

15 pts

Does the clinic provide meaningful descriptions of their practice and approach? Detailed, informative business descriptions signal a clinic that takes patient education seriously.

Services

15 pts

Does the clinic offer TRT-specific services? We look for explicit testosterone therapy services, hormone panels, and related treatments.

Reviews

15 pts

What do patients say? We consider both the average rating and the total number of reviews. A 4.8 from 200 reviews beats a 5.0 from 3 — volume matters for reliability.

Contact Completeness

15 pts

Can patients easily reach the clinic? We check for a working phone number, website, physical address, and online booking capability.

Grade Scale

A

80–100

B

60–79

C

40–59

D

20–39

F

Below 20

A

Top-tier TRT provider with strong specialization, reviews, and accessibility

B

Solid TRT provider with good overall quality

C

Adequate provider, may lack specialization or have gaps

D

F

Composite Score (0–100)

The Composite Score provides a broader quality assessment across four weighted tiers.

40
35
20
10
Core TRT Relevance up to ~40 pts

How central is TRT to the clinic's practice? Dedicated hormone clinics and TRT specialists earn the most points here.

Trust & Quality up to ~35 pts

Patient reviews, website quality, and overall credibility indicators. Clinics with strong patient satisfaction and professional web presence score highest.

Profile Completeness up to ~20 pts

How complete is the clinic's public profile? Full contact info, service listings, business hours, and photos all contribute.

Specialty Signals up to ~10 pts

Bonus points for deep TRT expertise — relevant certifications, specialized services, or clinical affiliations.

No Pay-for-Placement

Both scores are calculated entirely from publicly available data using our algorithms. No clinic can pay for a higher ranking, and no advertising relationship influences grades. This is a core principle — see our Advertising Disclosure for more detail.

How Clinics Can Improve Their Grade

Since grades are data-driven, clinics improve by improving their public profile. The most impactful steps:

1

Clearly communicate TRT specialization on your website

2

Maintain complete contact information and booking options

3

Encourage patient reviews on Google and other platforms

4

List specific TRT services and treatment options offered
